ONE ASPECT OF WAR IN ISRAEL

I pray that Israel is successful in its efforts to destroy Hamas in the Gaza area. There are Palestinian Believers caught in the middle of this battle. I pray the all encompassing hands of God protect them and their families; as well as the Israeli Believers who are under, and have been under siege by terrorist rocket fire and violence since the evacuation of Gaza by Ariel Sharon over three years ago. I also pray the the norther front of the Israeli border near Lebanon, where Hizballa rules in terror remains silent until the Gaza operation is in process.

We can be assured that God will have His way in His land. Are there intercessors who pray night and day for the peace of Jerusalem? This ancient prayer must reach a level of volume and intensity so that this is all God hears in regard to the Land of Promise given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants. As has been in the past, since recorded history, the processes God uses are often bloody, full of conflict and uncertainty. His divine protection was beside Elijah as he stood alone to confront the prophets of Baal. King David hid in the deserts and wilderness as he was fleeing from King Saul for years. Jesus was deserted by the ones He had called and worked with for over three years. Jeremiah was put in a pit in an effort to quiet his warnings and words of condemnation to a backslidden Israel and Judah.

This seems to be the way God does things most of the time. Speak the truth in the midst of great opposition. No matter the obstacles placed in our way, keep speaking the truth; even if you are the only one speaking! What we speak goes into the spiritual world and we only have a small understanding of the power of our words. God hears every word, request, prayer of intercession. Nothing goes to waste in His kingdom. Our words and prayers thunder throughout the kingdoms of this world that are strongly influenced by the forces of darkness.

While reading today, I came upon a passage of scripture in Matthew 4. Verses 23-24-

" And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand vs. 17) and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And His fame went throughout all SYRIA: and they brought unto Him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had palsy; and He healed them."

In context with those of Syria also coming to Christ, we need to remember the brothers and sisters in the LORD in Islamic nations who are trapped in the most uncomfortable situation imaginable. These dear ones are in the middle of what will eventually become the war to end all wars in the future. They are under the gun.

I have been interceding for Israel; and during my prayer I lift up Believers in Christ who are trapped and surrounded by terrorists and radical Muslims. Major population centers surrounded by the calls to prayer from mosque's in each large and small town and village. What do these dear ones do while everyone around them bows to pray to Allah five times a day. What fear must enter their heart, for themselves and their families, as the call to prayer is broadcast throughout the towns and villages?

I have been to Israel and other nations in Africa. When the call to prayer happens, it is broadcast through out the area using loud speakers. The call from the iman's. it seems causes the very buildings to shake and quiver.

Let us please remember these dear ones who are caught up and inundated with the violence, the darkness, the politics and the forces arrayed against everything that stands for God and His will.

Pray that the Almighty arm of God protects the IDF and that the handful of Believers in the IDF are a great witness to their fellow soldiers in their calmness, the witness and their conversation. My wife and I support Messianic ministries in Israel and what is called the Palestinian territories. I pray that many come to the knowledge of the Messiah Yeshua in this latest conflict. One of the ministries in Israel are allowing Israeli citizens fleeing the rocket fire to say in a hotel they build. There are rooms, food, coffee and tea made available to all of the new residents. There is a worship center in the hotel where the word of God is taught and many are hearing about the saving grace of Christ in a new light.

The kingdom of heaven suffers violence at times, and the violent take it by force. It is time for violent prayer sessions in our spirit and home on behalf of all Believers in the Mideast.
