OUR INHERITANCE

ECCLESIASTES 11:5
"As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child; even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand (willingly share) for thou kn0west not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good."

We are unaware of so many things; even how we are made, much less the way of the spirit, which is an eternal entity for each of us. Believers have the Spirit of God joined within our being.
This verse says we do not know the works of God regarding so many things. But, as we grow deeper and deeper into the things of God He reveals His dealings and desires to us; to our spirit, through His Spirit. Spirit to spirit, if you will. It is God who maketh all.

He has made precious promises to those who are His. In Romans 8:17 He says that if we are children, then we are heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if we suffer with Him, so that we may be glorified together. SUFFER? This is part of the package? Yes it is. Each of us, in our own way and bearing our own cross, whatever that may be, will be glorified with Christ as we continue the suffering He bore while in a human body like ours. It was His Spirit that dissapeared into the mountains, on the sea shore, and in the garden, away from the crowd, that cried out to the Father, His Father and ours, for strength, grace, wisdom, endurance and relief from the pain. We must do the same in our hours of trial. We live in the natural, surrounded by material things, and yet we desire and yearn for our spirits to become one with Him. We grow and mature through the process. Nothing that is of God, and this process is, goes to waste. It has great eternal effect.

As Believers in Yeshua we claim to be kings and priests in His Kingdom. Then we get a priests inheritance. As the Children of Israel were given their lands and possessions distributed by God when they entered the Promise Land, the Tribe of Levi's, the Priestly Tribe inherited God! Numbers 18:18 says, " And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I AM THY PART and THINE INHERITANCE among the children of Israel." Is God enough? Do we desire to also have a portion with the others? Are we jealous at their worldly holding and inheritance? This is what it is boiling down to in these last of the last days. Is God enough?

As the markets, pension funds, IRA, and federal, state, and local governments scramble to find money somewhere, anywhere, are we satisfied to know that we are children of the Great King, and that He is ours?

Jeremiah states our lot well in this hour of turmoil. In Chapter 3: 22-26 we can depend upon these verses and promises; " This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD."

Our Father, the LORD, promises that He is our portion; He is our inheritance! It is good to quietly (not easy for me) to wait upon Him. He will withhold no good thing for those who call upon and depend upon Him. He is good!

We have great confidence and promises. Look up! Our redemption is nigh! Like an old war bond from days gone by we are being cashed in! Psalm 16:5 states, as does Romans 8:17 that, " The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup; Thou maintainest my lot."

Can Lehman Brothers, Meryll Lynch, Bank of America, Fannie May or Freddie Mac beat that promise!! HE IS OUR INHERITANCE! What a wonderous thought!
